DSIP

Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring peptide composed of nine amino acids, originally isolated from the central nervous system of experimental models undergoing electrically induced sleep. It is hypothesised to play a role in regulating the sleep cycle, consistent with its name, and may also be involved in broader physiological regulatory processes. DSIP is studied for its potential to influence delta sleep patterns, modulate electrophysiological activity, and contribute to the regulation of neurotransmitter levels within the brain.
